Ken Hobson has been drawing and painting ever since he was a child, so it is no surprise that this led to a career in art. Ken is a native of Michigan and a graduate of Kendall College in Grand Rapids, as well as the Illustrator’s Workshop in Tarrytown, NY. He was a six-year member of the Art Advisory Council at Ferris State College in Big Rapids, MI. He is a member of the National Watercolor Society. He has built a strong national reputation while working for advising agencies and design firms as an illustrator and later worked as a Senior Artist at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL before moving to Greensboro in 1987.
Ken is now painting full-time along with giving lessons at his home and doing workshops. His paintings and prints are in private and corporate collections throughout the world. His collectors have used words such as: “sensitive,” “meticulous,” “whimsical,” and “spontaneous” to describe his work.
