It is an all-consuming activity born from a curiosity of someone with a “knack for drawing” to become a student of art history with an obsession for all the interesting objects of beauty that our culture has provided.
I have a special love for 19th and 20th Century landscape painting and modernism. Art practice has become like the same spiritual pursuit one seeks on a hike in a beautiful place. As the hiker can snatch a glimpse of the transcendent, so can the painter in his or her work. If we are attentive enough to this discipline, it can have infinite reflections
