MATTEO – Matteo Pizzuto grew up traveling throughout Western Europe and the Americas. At a young age, Matteo was fortunate to receive tutelage from local artists and drew his inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh and Joaquin Sarolla. He became engrossed in his studies diving deeper into understanding the human form and understanding the qualities and color of light. Matteo continued to travel and gain inspiration while applying strict study principles to his craft. Pizzuto works in Romantic Impressionism with the use of bold colors and thick bravura brushstrokes. Whether it be through portraits, still-life, or cityscapes, he paints life as being beautiful – the Matteo way. He currently creates from his studio in Southern Texas.
