Complimentary Art Evaluations

We offer free art evaluations under the following conditions:

  • Artwork must be brought to the gallery for evaluation(Cannot be done by phone or email).
  • Evaluations are open to pieces purchased from our gallery, and pieces purchased elsewhere.
  • Evaluations are free up to 4 pieces.
  • We do not make appointments for free evaluations.

If you purchased your artwork from our gallery, we would be happy to assist you in getting an updated appraisal on your artwork.

For an evaluation or written appraisal, please email us the following information:

  • You Name (Or the name of the person who purchased the piece)
  • The artist
  • Title of the artwork
  • Framed or Unframed

Due to the large number of requests we receive, we can only offer free remote art evaluations and appraisals as a service to clients who purchased their artwork from The Art Shop.  If you cannot bring your artwork to the gallery and you did not purchase your piece from us, we may be able to help only if your piece is by an artist we currently represent. Evaluation fee: $85

For an estimate evaluation(not a full written appraisal), please email us the following information:

  • You Name
  • The artist
  • Title of the artwork
  • Photos of artwork (including photos of signature/edition number)
  • Framed or Unframed
  • Size unframed
  • Edition number (for limited editions)
  • A copy of the certificate of authenticity (for limited editions)
  • Where the piece was purchased
  • Evaluation fee payment preference (pay over the phone/in the gallery/online invoice).

Reselling Artwork (If you purchased your artwork from The Art Shop)

If you purchased artwork from The Art Shop and are looking to re-sell, we can help you sell your artwork on consignment. Our fee for these sales is typically 40% of the sale price. If you are interested in re-selling your artwork on consignment, please confirm the following before contacting the gallery:

  • The artwork is by an artist currently represented by The Art Shop. (Click here to see a list of artists we represent.)
  • There is no damage to the artwork or framing. (If there is damage to the frame, our frame shop may be able to repair/replace at a discounted rate)
  • This piece is available to ship/drop off at the gallery for display. You will be responsible for shipping costs.

To begin the consignment process, please email us the following information:

  • Your Name (Or the name of the person who purchased the piece) and approximate date it was purchased
  • The artist
  • Title of the artwork
  • Framed or Unframed
  • Photograph of piece

Re-Selling Artwork (If You Did Not Purchase Your Artwork From The Art Shop)

If you did not purchased artwork from The Art Shop and are looking to re-sell, we may be able to help you sell your artwork on consignment. Our fee for this type sale is typically 50% of the sale price. Due to the large number of requests we receive to re-sell artwork, we are only accepting select works at this time. Please review the list below for works we are accepting:

  • Original paintings by Pino Daeni
  • Rare/ Sold out sculptures by Nano Lopez
  • Select works from Erich Paulsen
  • Select works from S.H Lee
  • Select works from Christian Jereczek
  • Original paintings by Vadim Klevenskiy

If you have one of these items and are looking to sell, please confirm the following before contacting the gallery:

Additional Options for Re-selling Artwork

If we are unable to help you re-sell your artwork, here are some additional options for re-selling:

  • Contact the gallery where the piece was originally purchased. Check to see if they have a consignment option for pieces purchased at their gallery.
  • Sell Online. We would recommend selling your piece on https://www.artbrokerage.com/. Be sure to do your research on shipping prices before you list your artwork. Shipping large framed pieces can get very expensive.
  • Sell locally. Check to see if there is a local gallery or home goods consignment store that will take your work in on consignment.
