The Art Shop hopes this newsletter finds all of our collectors and friends doing well and having survived the tough winter weather.
As spring approaches, The Art Shop is a beehive of activity. There are new releases by Thomas Arvid and Sam Park. We are preparing to host a show with Mikhael and Inessa Garmash in May, and The Art Shop just won first place in an international framing competition! And thereís more. We will soon be introducing three brand new works by Pino. These will be extremely limited. Keep an eye on our website at www.artshopnc.com

THOMAS ARVID has two new releases: Room To Breathe and Any Port. Arvid takes exceptional care to create art meant to be lingered over and savored Ė to be enjoyed as thoughtfully and slowly as a glass of great wine. Each piece in the edition of 375 is signed and numbered by the artist. Contact The Art Shop today at 1-888-336-3736 to reserve yours.
Sam Parkís new release is Rue de Soleil. This is a hand-embellished serigraph. Samís newest work just confirms why he is considered one of the finest artists of impressionism and hyper-realism working today.

FRAMINGíS HIGHEST HONOR GOES TO THE ART SHOP
The Art Shop has just achieved the picture framing industryís highest honor by winning first place in the 2005 Professional Picture Framers Association International Open Framing Competition held in February in Orlando. We are so proud of Arlene Dolin (left) who designed the piece and Jini Lumsden MCPF (right) who executed the design. We have a previous third place and honorable mention in the International Competition but this was the first time we won the big prize. The piece shown here are a photo of a young boy and his letter to the tooth fairy. The letter reads: Dear Tooth Fairy: Please give me a toy. If you canít give me a toy give me money.
Congratulations are also in order for Jini Lumsden MCPF. Jini just earned her MASTER CERTIFIED PICTURE FRAMER (MCPF) designation from the Professional Picture Framers Association of America. Jini has been a Certified Picture Framer (CPF) for many years and now she is one of only 4 people in both North and South Carolina with this higher- level designation and one of only 26 in the entire country. Jini is among the elite in her craft and we are proud to have her at The Art Shop.
